W. Scott Peake – Writer / Director / Producer

W. Scott Peake born March 13, 1965 in Mountain View, California received his MFA from the Florida State University Film School in 1993. In Scott’s final year at FSU he was chosen to direct one of the five thesis films the film school produced that year. During his last semester Scott was offered an internship at W. B. Doner advertising in Southfield, Michigan. Upon graduation Scott was the first intern in Doner’s history to be offered a full time job as a Producer. While at Doner, Scott started to build his reel directing several campaigns for the Detroit Zoo and the Michigan Humane Society. His spot, “Zoo Cruise, ” went on to win several awards, including a Clio and was named one of Ad Ages’ “100 Best” in 1996.

Scott soon left Doner and was snapped up by BBDO/Detroit to work on the Dodge account. Due to the nature of the Dodge campaigns, Scott has become very knowledgeable in special effects and post-production. This knowledge has become extremely valuable in Scott’s approach to directing.

Scott left BBDO and moved to Los Angeles in the fall of 1996. While building his directing reel, Scott freelanced at Ogilvy & Mather/ Detroit and Chiat/Day. In January of ’99, Scott signed with the now defunct Elsewhere Films, for commercial and music video representation.

Currently, Scott is in development on several project with his company Whatever Films.

Diane Clemenhagen – Producer

Producer, Diane Clemenhagen has earned a reputation for creating high quality events, records and has earned the moniker, “The Wolf” on her first feature.

Her first feature PERMANENT VACATION with partner, writer/director W. Scott Peake, was adapted from The UK Novel “What We Did On Our Holidays” written by prolific British author Geoff Nicholson. This dark comedy stars Frank Harper (Stock and Two Smoking Barrels), Gina Bellman (“Coupling: The Series”), David Carradine (Kill Bill), Charles Shaugnessy (The Nanny) and Michael Bowen (Kill Bill). It is the story of a father’s last chance at a happy family vacation before his children grow up. What happens on this vacation is a disturbing ride and will keep you on the edge of your seat!

Producing under Whatever Entertainment, LLC, the second script O. P. Tex, a dark comedy set in the Wild West is currently being written.

Earlier in her career, Diane produced music events in Victoria and Vancouver, Canada under Philosophers of Funk Productions. These events showcased the top DJ’s in the world, Carl Cox, Paul Oakenfold and Frankie Knuckles to name a few. After securing lucrative distribution deals with Tower Records, Virgin Megastores, Amazon, as well as regional distributors, Diane finalized a deal with K-Tel for all distribution.

Diane obtained her degree in Business Administration in Victoria, BC. She owned her own business, Blue Point Communications, specializing in consulting and marketing for small businesses.

As well as her producing duties at Whatever Entertainment, Diane is the Director of Sales & Marketing at Trade Show Temps, she volunteers at the writing center 826LA, is taking Spanish at UCLA, training for her 2nd 1/2 Ironman, a Certified Master Scuba Diver, and hoping that she finally scores a goal in her Sunday co-ed soccer league.

Ethan Wolvek - Editor

Ethan Wolvek’s 28-year career includes an array of experience in both production and postproduction.

In 1999, after a 20-year freelance production career in the industrial, commercial and music video industries, Ethan started Elsewhere Films with partner and UPM, Gary Kout. Ethan and Gary immediately signed W. Scott Peake as their first director. Ethan – now working as Peake’s producer - quickly developed a close working and creative relationship with the director that continues to this day.

As a music video producer, Ethan has spent “inordinate amounts of time” in postproduction bays and developed a passion for that end of the creative process. As a result, a postproduction division was added to Elsewhere and a love affair with editing was soon born.

After closing Elsewhere in 2002, Ethan went back to the freelance life; this time in a purely postproduction capacity. He spent the next three years honing his skills as an editor on short form projects and authoring DVD’s for home video distributors. During that time, he landed his first feature, “Potheads: The Movie”. Within weeks of completion of that project, he was asked to edit “Permanent Vacation” by old friend, W. Scott Peake. Ethan credits that collaboration with Scott as having been the single best education in story-telling one could expect.

He continues to work on short-form projects and is currently cutting “Citizen Lane”, a documentary about noted civil rights attorney, Mark Lane, for director and actress, Pauley Perrett.
